Erie International Film Festival to Be Held December 10-18

ERIE, PA- The Erie International Film Festival is proud to announce the dates and information for our 2021 international film festival that is slated to be held in the great City of Erie from Friday December 10th through Saturday December 18th, 2021.

Now in our 8th year, our Festival introduces independent Filmmakers the world over to Erie Pennsylvania, as our City embraces the arts and culture that the worldwide filmmaking community delivers with new stories, and new points of view.

With nearly 60 of the best, most well crafted independent films from around the world slated to screen in this year's Festival, EIFF continues to celebrate new trends in digital media and recognizes Trans-media Filmmakers who employ an innovative, interactive, web-based or multi-platform approach to story creation, as well as traditional style films that will be presented to the public via state-of-the-art-technology.

In addition to our virtual and theatrical presentations that we offer each year, we would like to announce the second edition of an electrifying film presentation program that we have added to our Festival schedule in 2019, dubbed the "Roaring 20's Dinner Theatre Gala" that will be produced in cooperation with one of Erie's most popular and unique locally owned establishments, ROOM 33, located at 1033 State St.

As Erie's only prohibition-inspired speakeasy style venue, ROOM 33 offers small plates and entrees, along with desserts, craft cocktails, an extensive wine and beer list, silent movies, and live music every weekend.

Founded by Rebecca Ann Styn, and intended to be a celebration of pre and post prohibition era in which everything beyond their secret bookcase entrance is reflected in the distinctive mood of the prohibition era.

Our Gala event is scheduled for Saturday December 11th, 2021 as a one night only special event that will feature nearly 20 of the most gripping, well done, and entertaining award nominated films from around the world and across the United States. Our musical headliner of the evening will be one of Erie's most power-packed and super talented bands, Aria and the Voiceless, along with musical guest, Rachel Bailey from New York. The venue will feature a wide array of themed house food and drink specials.

Considering the tone and atmosphere of the venue, the evening has been deemed a 1920's costume themed event that will truly create an authentic period vibe that will capture the real spirit of the era. While costumes are not required to attend this one-of-a-kind special Gala event, they certainly are encouraged.

The Roaring 20's Dinner Theatre Gala will open its doors at 6:00 PM, with the entire event starting sharply at 6:30 PM. This Gala special event will be offered to the public at no charge with free admission.
