LGBTQ Victory Fund Endorses Dr. Tyler Titus for Erie County Executive

Endorsement brings national attention to Titus' historic campaign

Erie, PA - March 24, 2021 - Today, LGBTQ Victory Fund-the only national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ people to public office-endorsed Tyler Titus, naming them to their Spotlight list. This endorsement marks a significant moment in the campaign, demonstrating momentum heading toward the May 18 primary. With this endorsement, Victory Fund recognizes the strength of the campaign and the historic opportunity to elevate the first trans person ever elected in Pennsylvania history.

Dr. Tyler Titus is a mental health professional, small business owner, and the first trans person ever elected in Pennsylvania history. They currently serve as the president of the Erie School Board. Over the past 15 years, through their work at the Erie County Office of Children and Youth and as a full-time therapist for youth in the foster system, Tyler has developed a nuanced understanding of how intergenerational poverty, neglect, abuse, and violence impacts families and communities. Tyler has built their career on helping others, and now they're running in the May 18, 2021 primary for Erie County Executive to take that work to county government.
