Victory Fund Endorses Adrian Rivera-Reyes for Philadelphia City Council
Adrian Would Make History as Philly's First Openly Gay Councilmember
Philadelphia, PA - LGBTQ Victory Fund has endorsed Adrian Rivera-Reyes in his campaign for Philadelphia City Council At-Large.
Victory Fund works to change the face and voice of America's politics and achieve equality for LGBTQ Americans by increasing the number of openly LGBT elected officials at all levels of government. If elected, Adrian would be the first LGBTQ member of Philadelphia City Council.
"LGBTQ Victory Fund is pleased to endorse Adrian Rivera-Reyes for Philadelphia City Council," said Mayor Annise Parker, President & CEO of LGBTQ Victory Fund. "Adrian's commitment to smart public policy that addresses the real concerns of constituents makes him the best candidate for City Council At-Large. When he wins in November, Adrian will become a vital LGBTQ voice."
"I am honored to have the support of Victory Fund," said Adrian Rivera-Reyes. "There is power in representation, and currently the LGBTQ community in Philadelphia has no representation on City Council. Our voices deserve a seat at the table. As a member of City Council, I will be the warrior for equality and opportunity that our community deserves. With Victory Fund's help, we will make history."
