Greenville School District adds unisex bathroom

The Greenville Area School District will include a unisex bathroom in the $17.8 million expansion of Hemfield Elementary School.

Sperintendent Mark Ferrara said Greenville wants to be supportive of transgender students and in compliance with state and federal guidelines. But for now they will be "low key."

Ferrara said most transgender students prefer that. "They don't want to be a spectacle," he said
