All Saints Day at Community United Church, Theology on Tap

Theology on Tap, hosted by Community United Church, 1011 W 38th St, Erie PA, will be held on Tuesday, November 11, from 7-9 PM at Calamari's.  Come grab the drink (or dinner) of your choice, relax, and share your experience and insights or ask your theological/spiritual questions!  As the conversation flows, we will challenge, encourage and teach one another without a set curriculum, reading assignments or the pressure of "finding the right answer."  Though CUC is a Christian congregation, people of all faiths are welcome to come and share.  Our goal is conversation not conversion!

During our regular Sunday morning worship on November 2, Community United Church will be celebrating All Saints Day with prayers and honoring those who have died in the last year.  The service will include a prayer of remembrance, the reading of names, the lighting of candles, and an Altar of Saints as ways of honoring those who have gone before us.  If you have lost a loved one in the last year and would like their name read during the service, please contact Pastor Jodi Shay at 814-724-9775 by October 28.  If you would like to bring a picture, symbol or item to place on the Altar of Saints (for anyone who has died regardless of when), you may bring it before or on the day of the service.

Calendar item:  Thursdays at 7 PM, "The Table" contemplative worship at CUC.  In November, we will be focusing on Thanksgiving.
