Out In The Silence Screening at Jamestown Community College

On Saturday, November 5, 2011, film makers Joe Wilson and Dean Hamer presented a screening of their documentary, Out In The Silence, at Jamestown Community College in Jamestown NY. The primary organizer of the event was Richard Baer, through AIDS Community Services of Western NY, Southern Tier Services in Jamestown. About 125-150 people attended. There were groups and inidividuals from Jamestown, Buffalo NY, Erie PA, Bradford PA and other areas. Greg Rabb, openly gay Jamestown NY City Council President and Jamestown Community College faculty member, spoke after the film, and there was also a lively community discussion on working together to achive progress for the LGBT community.
