National Equality March

On the weekend of October 10, 2009, several people from the Erie PA region traveled to Washington DC for the National Equality March. Photographers include Ted Smith, Fran Smith, Justin and Dr. Dan Burdick, faculty advisor to Identity, Edinboro University's, LGBTQA student group. Full video coverage of the rally is here.

From Ted Smith and Marc Holland: "Marc and I have been together for almost seven years, had a commitment ceremony in 2006 and were joined for the March by my parents Fran and Bill. They are wonderful, supporting parents and always have been. In August we were home at their house and talking about the march and going. My mom said it might be a fun thing to do. And my Dad looked at her and said, 'Well Fran, why don't we go with them!' WHAT LOVE! It was a great weekend."
