Touching Love Story's North American DVD & VOD out now!

Philadelphia, PA, October 17, 2017--Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired North American rights to director Didier Bivel's (We Need a Vacation) sensitive, coming-of-age tale HIDDEN KISSES. Breaking Glass acquired rights to the film in August in a deal negotiated between Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff and Film & Picture President Marie Laure Hebrard and Eva Mathiot. The film will have a DVD and digital release through iTunes, Amazon Instant, Google Play, and Vudu, as well as through local cable and satellite providers on December 5.

Described as "an important film that deserves to be seen" (Gay Themed Film Reviews) where "tears will well-up, memories will come alive and pain will be felt" (CGiii), HIDDEN KISSES premiered at the Luchon Film Festival, and was recently broadcast on May 17, 2017 on France 2 in honor of the International Day Against Homophobia.

HIDDEN KISSES stars Jules Houplain (We Were Young, "Cassandre"), Patrick Timsit (Marie-Francine, Gangsterdam), Barbara Schultz ("The Blacklist", All Girls are Crazy), Bruno Putzulu (The Easy Way Out) and newcomer Bérenger Anceaux.

Sixteen-year-old Nathan is the new kid in high school. One night, while attending a party, he falls in love with Louis, a boy in his class. Able to sneak away from the crowd, they find themselves out of sight, and eventually work up the courage to kiss each other…but someone takes notice. Soon, a picture is published on Facebook, and a storm of bullying and rejection overtakes their lives.

The film is written and directed by Didier Bivel, most known for directing, writing, and editing the film We Need a Vacation (2002). Bivel began his career directing short films, most notably "La nuit des corps" (1993) and "Comme les autres" (1996), both of which

received awards at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. Other short

films written and directed by Bivel include "Juliette" (1992) and "Bas de plafond" (1997). After serving as an assistant director on the film Vengo (2000), which received the Special Jury Prize at the Istanbul International Film Festival, Bivel made his own feature film directorial debut with Maman à 16 ans (2001). Other film credits include La vie en gros (2003), La nègre de Molière (2005), Inconnue de la départementale (2006),

Some Place Else (2013), and Jaune Iris (2015). In addition, Bivel has directed

episodes of the French television series "L'homme de la situation" and "Accusé."

"We are very pleased to bring director Didier Bivel's beautiful, yet cautionary, ode to young love to US audiences", said Richard Ross, Co-President of Breaking Glass. "It sadly reminds us, though, that bullying and homophobia still play a hateful role in the fabric of contemporary life."
