A release date of Oct. 1 has been set for "Show Trans," DeLine’s most recent publication. "Show Trans" is an autobiographical work that explores sex addiction, dissociative identity disorder and, as stated by DeLine on his website, "the struggle to find love, connection and self-actualizaton as a non-binary trans person." Although only in his twenties, DeLine has already created a name for himself in the world of queer literature. "Refuse" was the recipient of the honorable mention for best LGBT coming of age/young adult novel and received bronze for best bisexual/transgender novel and silver for best debut transgender novel in the 2011 Rainbow Awards. In the 2013 Rainbow Awards, "I Know Very Well How I Got My Name" won first place for best transgender fiction. DeLine also won Unrecognized Artist of the Year from the Museum of Transgender History and Art in 2013. "An Evening with Elliott DeLine" is intended to supplement material being taught in various classes this semester, including Transgender Lives, Introduction to Gender Studies and Queer Studies in Literature. Organizers encourage the public to attend, as they believe it will serve as a valuable and interesting learning opportunity.
