Advance Our Dignity: LGBTQ Pennsylvanians Rally for Freedom and Justice on June 28 in Harrisburg

LGBTQ communities from across the commonwealth will come together at the State Capitol in Harrisburg on June 28 to demand that our human dignity be given under the law. Community leaders will call for comprehensive LGBTQ civil rights, including non-discrimination, hate crimes, education protections; access to adequate healthcare and HIV/AIDS resources; and support for LGBTQ youth and elders living in poverty and rejection. For updated and additional info, check the Facebook event page for Advance Our Dignity.

This rally is our indpendent expression in pressing for freedom and justice for LGBTQ Pennsylvanians. We will continue to mourn over Orlando, the violence occuring everyday against LGBTQ people, and call on our state government to address the root causes of violence and discrimination against LGBTQ people. We will do this through love and compassion.

It is also our response.

On June 27th, a large rally against the dignity of LGBTQ Pennsylvanians will take place in the State Capitol, called "Defend My Privacy." Our response will be the final word this budget season: together we must "Advance Our Dignity", under the law and within our communities.
