Pennsylvania Student Equality Coalition Erie-West Regional Coordinator Position

Erie-West: The Pennsylvania Student Equality Coalition (PSEC), the statewide LGBTQ youth advocacy organization, seeks to appoint an Erie-West Regional Coordinator. This is a volunteer, part-time position, though a fixed stipend is provided. We are extending the final deadline for all PSEC Regional Coordinator position applications to this Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:00pm.

Applicants should be highly self-motivated, knowledgeable about LGBTQ issues, familiar with youth populations across the Northwestern PA region, and passionate about working with young people for social justice. The PSEC Erie-West Regional Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and organizing with affiliates in the region, fundraising, and coordinating with community organizations. The Erie-West Regional Coordinator will also collaborate with youth leaders on projects that meet the specific needs of the region. The Erie-West Regional Coordinator will meet regularly with community leaders and government officials. Experience with public speaking and community organizing preferred.

The Erie-West Regional Coordinator will have regular office hours amounting to no more than for 12-15 hours/week. Current students, trans youth, and youth of color are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have reliable access to a car and should live within the PSEC Erie-West Region which encompasses Clarion, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, McKean, Mercer, and Warren counties.
