BUA presents "Anna in the Tropics"

ANNA IN THE TROPICS is a poignant and poetic new play set in Florida in 1929 in a Cuban–American cigar factory, where cigars are still rolled by hand and "lectors" are employed to educate and entertain the workers. The arrival of a new lector is a cause for celebration, but when he begins to read aloud from Anna Karenina, he unwittingly becomes a catalyst in the lives of his avid listeners, for whom Tolstoy, the tropics and the American dream prove a volatile combination.

Youth/Student:		Discussion group for students and youth and those who work with them.
GLBT Lobby:		Discussion list for lobbying area legislators about GLBT issues.
GLBT Voters/Activism:		GLBT people and their supporters who are involved in politics and activism, or who want to be.
Picnic:		This is the planning committee for the annual Erie Gay News Family Pride Picnic that happens in June each year. If you want to be in on making this happen and helping out, join up!
