Groan! Christine O’Donnell seems to be rather a whack job. First off, I believe that the more usual construction is “dabbled IN”,”not dabbled INTO”, okay?
More importantly, (and speaking as someone who has been pagan/a witch for going on 2 decades now), witches and Satanists are 2 completely different groups. These statements that O’Donnell . . . → Read More: O’Donnell makes light of witchcraft comment

My friend Aaron, who relocated to the west coast a few years ago, was back for a visit, so he came over to visit some mutual friends in the Craft, and I stopped in. It was a very nice time. At one point, the infamous Lamb Hat was brought out for photos. (Forthcoming) Aaron . . . → Read More: Visiting with friends

I have had a few incidences recently of helping folks to make connections; a school counselor contacted me about resources for GLBT youth, so I did a small resource spewing thing. Someone else contacted me about an event in a rural area that they were setting up. I posted the article online, and then . . . → Read More: Feeling happy

We were having our weekly programmers’ meeting this morning, and some folks talked about “the most wonderful time of the year” and about being excited about this coming weekend. My first thought was Pagan Pride Day, of course. (This Saturday, September 11 at 10:30 AM to 6:30/7 PM or so at St. Nick’s Grove, . . . → Read More: The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

What a day! I went to the committee meeting for the Erie County Democratic Party this morning, which went pretty well. The Chair was kind enough to note my birthday, and there were 2 other birthdays in the room. The meeting was quite productive. I then went home and posted some upcoming events, including . . . → Read More: A busy birthday

There have been some emails flying back and forth for the UNCLE board. Our secretary had a slight misspelling for the last name of our current president AKA Hot Straight Rich, which led to him being declared Lord High Cornhole. (His last name is sort of similar, but some letters crept it and one . . . → Read More: Assorted typos and silliness

One of the board members for the United NeoPagan Council of Lake Erie unexpectedly died last week. She was a wonderful and kind person, and had been tremendously helpful at last year’s Pagan Pride Day. I went to the viewing for her funeral on Friday when I got out of work.
One of our . . . → Read More: Um, we can knock it off with that death thing already.

I probably spent way too much time on geek stuff today, and figured it would be good to leave the house and interact with other human beings. (Call me crazy.) John and Paula were going to Greek Fest with Paula’s parents and her sister/brother-in-law. Lisa and Dom also showed up. So, I headed over . . . → Read More: Hanging out at Greek Fest

I had a lovely time at the Stonewall Celebration at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Erie today. When I walked in, I saw my friend Laurie. There was a basket next to her with a pineapple, bananas and that sort of thing. "Here," she said. "I can move the basket of exotic fruit." "So . . . → Read More: Stonewall Celebration at the UU

I was at a meeting of the United NeoPagan Council of Lake Erie and we were picking what charity we wanted to collect for at this year’s Pagan Pride Day. We decided on a medical facility, and Rich (aka straight hunk Rich) who is president, jokingly said that he wanted the facility to give . . . → Read More: A common goal
