We were having our weekly programmers’ meeting this morning, and some folks talked about “the most wonderful time of the year” and about being excited about this coming weekend. My first thought was Pagan Pride Day, of course. (This Saturday, September 11 at 10:30 AM to 6:30/7 PM or so at St. Nick’s Grove, 5131 Old French Road, Erie OA.)
It turns out they were referring to football. They are all fairly aware that I don’t have much of an interest in sports, so one of the programmers teasingly asked me if I had picked out my fantasy football team yet. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that probably mine would exclusively focus on the locker room, rather than on the field, and quite possibly might have already been done by Falcon Studio.
Again, we were all speaking English, but we’re not talking the same language!
