After work tonight, I was doing some phone banking for a political campaign. I dialed the number for a woman who I am guessing was expecting someone else, because she vivaciously answered the phone with a “Hey there, girlfriend!” I smiled and explained that wasn’t exactly the first time I had been referred to that say. (Actually, if memory serves correctly, way back in the early/mid 90’s both Paula and Aelis joked with me about Sister Girlfriend La La. Very camp!)
The woman I called was a fairly enthusiastic supporter of the campaign, which was nice. Apparently. I have a habit of saying “Yay!” when I get good news, as the other folks phone banking giggled a bit.
It went fairly well. Then it was home for dinner and some geek stuff, and now off to walk the dogs.
