What a day! I went to the committee meeting for the Erie County Democratic Party this morning, which went pretty well. The Chair was kind enough to note my birthday, and there were 2 other birthdays in the room. The meeting was quite productive. I then went home and posted some upcoming events, including the Beef and Ballots Dinner on October 1.
I also had a lovely chat with my Mom, and got most of the weekend domestic chores done/housecleaning stuff.
Then it was off to Andrea’s birthday party (of Kim and Andrea.) As always, it was an incredibly nice group of people, and I really had a good time. The were also nice about extending birthday wishes.
Sine I was on the east side of town, it was a relatively short trip up to Ripley for visiting with the coven. They sang Happy Birthday and Shari made me a lovely tie-dyed T-shirt. We had a school lunch themed potluck dinner, and then we had a full moon esbat. We went sky clad, so my birthday suit was my birthday suit. I thought that was fairly appropriate.
Deb got some time to work on Erie Gay News, which we are finishing this weekend. I am home now, and did some minor geek stuff. I should then be waling the dogs and probably going out to the Zone Dance Club.
Tomorrow should be finishing the newsletter + maybe some volunteering for one of the political campaigns and grocery shopping.
I missed a call from my sister, who just lost a beloved cat. She mentioned in the message that they got a new one. Sounds cool!
So, I got to do political stuff, GLBT stuff, Pagan stuff and family stuff. All in all, a fairly balanced, if rather busy day!
