I had seen in the news about the crazy guy who apparently had burned down a house and had the police engaged in a manhunt. I realized that the area was very close to where my friends Jeff and Gary live, so I sort of got scared. Gary has been visiting Heather and Tara in NC, and I wasn’t sure if he was back yet.
So, I just called Jeff to verify that things were okay. Everything is fine with them. Gary is still in NC, although he was due back last night. Jeff was worried when he woke up and Gary wasn’t in his room this AM, but Gary called later to say that he was still in NC. Oddly enough, Gary works at the same place that Mr. Crazy Guy used to work.
When we talked about the manhunt, we joked that "So what? I have had a profile on there for years!"
Jeff wasn’t sure, but he thought he had heard that Mr. Crazy Guy might have died in the house fire. Jeff isn’t sure, but the house might have been directly behind where Jeff used to live.
