I went to a social event at Edinboro University for GLBT history month. It was low key, but very pleasant. There was a large chocolate sheet cake with a pink triangle to celebrate the event.
I recalled that the pink triangle was first used to identify gay men in Nazi concentration camps, so it seemed semi-amusing that it was now a cake. Some of us joked about the Eddie Izzard routine about "Cake or death? Cake, please!" Dan joked about Nazis and frosting. Yummy! Oppression (or symbols of same) can be tasty!
