Erie’s 4th Annual Pagan Pride Day went fairly well. We had smaller attendance than last year, but since it rained all day for the most part, it wasn’t that surprising.
I was helping to set up, and Rae noticed that there was a spider, which I helped to get rid of. I also helped lift heavy things and generally felt useful and happy. On at least 2 occasions, I said something along the lines of “Yay! I feel so butch.” Apparently, I was flailing my hands more than I thought, because I got a few gentle laughs, as in ” Um. Maybe next time, try saying that WITHOUT the jazz hands. Mary!”
My friend Sharon had a car battery that needed a jump. I told her that I could jump, if she could set it up. We waited a long time (at least a half hour) and it was only partially charged. Then TJ stopped by (since he and his family needed to get going), and found out that we didn’t have quite the right connection. Her car started, and she was on her way.
It was a long day, but a pretty good one. I went to some friend’s party after that, and then did some voter registration.
