What a nice idea! I think people don't stop to think about the good that is out there, so here goes:
I am grateful for, and want to celebrate:
My good friend, Deb, who works on the newsletter and so many other projects (like NW PA Peace, Erie Peace Initiative) and doesn't get nearly the recognition she deserves.
Mike, the graphics artist for Erie Gay News, for doing such a terrific job and being so patient and understanding.
Gary, Chris, Jack, Peter, Nick and the other wonderful people (like Tom) who have been doing so much to make the upcoming Drenched Fur weekend a success. It continues to be a joy working with them!
Selkie and Dylan and the wonderful folks in Swanscove Coven for creating a terrific social/spiritual environment. I always feel so much at home when I am with them.
All of the board members for the United NeoPagan Council of Lake Erie (U-N-C-L-E)for being dedicated, supportive and just plain fun!
My mom, for being a cheerful, upbeat and thoughtful person who stressed good values when I was going up and was/is an excellent role model.
Ken, for being thoughtful and helping to try new things while also letting me feel safe for doing it. (Okay, it is kind of cool having a boyfriend.)
James, for being a great friend, taking photos and being a truly selfless volunteer and all around nifty person
My blogger buddies, for being bright, fun and a constant joy to be around. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday!
Robbie, for taking on the talent show at the Pride Picnic this year and being diligent and cheerful.
JR, for taking on heading the kitchen for the Pride Picnic, and who has done such a terrific job with past Pagan Pride Days.
Jeff, for the excellent Obama meeting last Saturday and way too many kind, thoughtful and diligent jobs that he has done over the years without any fanfare.
My family, for all around goodness. It was wonderful how everyone made Ken feel welcome when we went there for Easter, and it was great talking with my brother-in-law this past weekend.
Christine & Rick Mitchell, Cindy Purvis, Kaye and all of the marvelous folks from the Lake Erie Alliance for Democracy (LEAD) for the work that they do.
Far too many folks to count in the local GLBT community. Things may not always be 100% in sync, but I am grateful for having such cool folks.
Similarly, all of the terrific folks in the local Pagan community. I think we have a fairly neat thing going on here.
Hmm, when I stop to think about it, I have a LOT to be grateful for! (And yes, I know that I am missing lots of people and groups. Apologies!)
