I had a nice surprise this afternoon. I got an email from a new advertiser who wanted to take out a quarter page ad for a year in Erie Gay News. Yippee! They had already laid the ad out, but the dimensions were rotated 90 degrees. I emailed them back and they were able . . . → Read More: A slightly exhausting day

So, I am driving home, and I notice one of those large PA Lottery signs with the big numbers indicating how many millions the jackpot. Then I looked below that and saw that they had a compulsive gambling 800 number hotline. It just struck me as an amusing juxtaposition.

How horrible! I really feel for this woman. I don’t think that people should choose to end it lightly, however, I think that there are definitely circumstances where the decent, compassionate and humane thing is to let someone go.

What a clueless creep! Bishop Trautman does not get it. One of his priests is let off for molesting a minor on a technicality, and his response is to start bashing the folks who reported it about ethics?? They sidestep talking about the real issue – an adult taking advantage of someone who . . . → Read More: Trautman just doesn’t get it

I am very sorry that this made it out of the Judiciary Committee, but I am thrilled that Sen. Jane Earll was quoted as opposing this. I just left her Erie office a voice mail to thank her. (Always good manners to say thanks to folks for doing the right thing.)

It was a fairly full day. I still feel overwhelmed at work. I am not sure whether I am making progress or not.
We had a fairly small get together for the Greet ‘N Chat, which included a visit from US Congressional candidate Kathy Dahlkemper. It ended up okay. I felt badly that I . . . → Read More: Mega tired

I find this oddly amusing. Although I was technically baptized Catholic, I have never identified as Christian in my entire life. I am also a lifelong teetotaler, so that doesn’t cramp my style either.

It was a fairly long day. I worked on catching up on the usual geek and domestic stuff. We met about the Pride Picnic at 2 PM. Someone had asked about adding a talent show to the other aspects of the picnic. After some discussion, we figured that we would go for it. There . . . → Read More: Long day

Technorati Tags: Zodiac Dinor
My friend did his first night of stand up comedy tonight at the Zodiac Dinor. He had been meaning to do it for a while. There were 4 comedians, and 2 of them were first timers. Big kudos to Uncle Pete for trying something new!

So, here is the new hair color. Please don’t laugh too hard. But my stylist and a few of his friends (ranging from 19 to 38) say that it takes 10 years off me. (Which probably works out to make me only late middle aged.)
