I had to drop off some newsletters at Craze, and on the way back, I drove past an office building that had a fairly lifelike painted crucifix inside a window. It looked like it might have been an office or a storage room.
The odd part is that it was leaning against the window, and it almost looked like the stigmata were suction cups, like it was some kind of weird window decoration for the very devout (or irreverent.) All I could recall was the Bloom County cartoon where Opus gets out of the shower and there was a stuffed version of Bill the Cat with his tongue and feet suctioned to the shower door.
Back at work, I stood up and managed to drop my PDA. It dropped to the ground and the clear plastic cover on the case the unit is in managed to pop off and fly under the dividing wall of the cubicle. Really, I probably couldn't do that again if I tried! It's quite low to the ground.
I wasn't sure at first where it landed and tried to get it back. I realized it had gone a bit farther, and I didn't want my co-worker to feel that I was invading his space in a weird way. (Said co-worker is the grandson of the founder and son of the president.) He joked about having an odd foot fetish and I retorted with any day ending with getting a restraining order from a fellow employee as not being a good one.
All is fine now. Sigh.
