Former Anglican Bishop implicated in terrorism

How horrible! The article was very disturbing indeed, and it is sick how Akinola slyly suggested he had been complicit in allowing slaughter to happen. Oh, but he is straight, so therefore he's okay, apparently.

It was sort of hopeful at the end of the link article about the Muslim and Christian working together. However, I noticed that they couldn't resist getting in a slam against gays. How comforting to know that as much as the 2 groups hate each other, they can at least agree that they hate gays more.

Is Nigerean Archbishop Peter Akinola A Terrorist Butcher?

When openly gay Episcopalian Bishop Gene Robinson was sworn in, the African bishop called the event Satanic. However, after reading the latest issue of Atlantic Magazine, it appears that Akinola is the one whose behavior may be modeled on the devil.
The article discusses his prominent role in the slaughter of Muslims. Not only did his thugs shoot children, according to the article, they burned mosques, raped pregnant women and forced Muslims to eat pork and drink booze. I urge my readers to read and digest this article and the implications it has on the Anglican Church - which is allowing a butcher to operate in its midst.

If the article's accusations are true, the Anglican church will have no choice but to defrock Akinola. He should also be arrested and tried at the Hague for crimes against humanity. What his militia did was no different than the actions taken by Saddam Hussein. Akinola ought to be held accountable. According to the article:

At the time of the massacre, Archbishop Peter Akinola was the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria, whose membership was implicated in the killings. He has since lost his bid for another term but, as primate of the Anglican Church of Nigeria, he is still the leader of 18 million Anglicans.
