I got an email from some address I didn't recognize that said simply
{Name of guy unknown to me} is a fag
Huh? The email address was something like MomOfSomething/Someone.
I wrote back:
Do you frequently going around hurling nasty epithets at unknown 3rd parties or does time just way rather heavily on your hands today? I have no clue who you are talking about and your email was offensive.
No clue what the motive for this was. I don't often get nastiness, so this was odd. Contrary to popular myth, all gay folks do not necessarily know each other.

Weird. Maybe the person was trying to get a rise out of you? Or maybe they were trying to set you up with someone?
I am guessing that it could have been trying to get me going or get confirmation about someone they suspected was gay, but I guess that they might have also been acting as a yente! ;)
