Is anyone surprised by this? Not me. If they picketed Mister Roger's funeral and US service members' funerals, then I guess that this isn't a surprise. These folks are so far beyond the pale that even right wing whack jobs get that this group is somewhere out beyond Pluto. Westboro Baptist Church is just batshit crazy and that's all that there is to it.
No one's family and friends should have to deal with this.
Whenever Fred Phelps passes on, I seriously hope that everyone just ignores his funeral; the absolute worst thing for a drama queen is not to have an audience. No rampaging crowds or angry protestors for this awful person, please. Just stone cold silence because, ultimately nastiness is not what really matters in life.
Bottom line: God is all about love. Whenever I have felt close to the Divine, it has always been oceanic, embracing and loving.
WBC To Picket Heath Ledger's Funeral
As if the asshats at the Westboro Baptist Church didn't have enough problems, I decided to glance over at the WBC home page after a comment made by my friend in them more than likely commenting on his death as he did star in Brokeback Mountain, and most know how batshit they went about that movie.
But it got much worse than just a comment.
