I had called our graphic artist to go over some ad stuff, and he told me that he was mugged walking home from work last night. Apparently 2 guys made off with his wallet, and he may have broken 2 fingers on his left hand. He sounded traumatized, but he was dealing with it okay. He made a point of saying that he could still do layout with one hand (he's very talented), but it would be good to just send him any text ready to copy and paste. I joked about dropping off handwritten ad copy.
I feel really bad for him, and hope that he gets better soon. I am really hoping that there is no permanent damage. Creating graphics and ads is something that he is extremely talented at, and having something you do both enjoy and do well just taken from you would be awful.
Sigh!
