Erie County Democratic Party web site and dinner

I have begun working on the Erie County Democratic Party web site. It's still fairly early on, and the big thing that I need to get is content. I have added a few events, but there needs to be more. I created a form at the site for people to request submitting an event for the calendar. Again, the whole thing is still semi-larval.

I had a fairly good time at the Beef and Ballots dinner that we had last night. Just before the event, the chair was asking if there were people to lead a prayer. I inwardly smiled at the thought of using the Wiccan grace, but I just smiled and said that they probably wanted something else. Bob said a very nice non-denominational prayer.

I had earlier realized: "Ooh! Dinner tonight will have lots of Democrats present. I want to get stuff for the calendar. Golden opportunity!", so that was the impetus for coming up with the event submission form. I asked the chair if we could make an announcement at the dinner, so she had me speak after my friend Christine Mitchell, the newly elected secretary. I am hoping that Christine and I can help each other out with getting info together and out there.
