Yippee! You can disregard that last post, I guess. HR 1592, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007 passed the House, 237 to 180. (Hmm, I need to find out how Phil English voted.)
Even though I only forwarded a few emails to the list, and made 3 phone calls to Rep. English's office, I am feeling very good about this. Score one for justice and equality! Now, on to the Senate!
