I just found out that my friend Don Samples passed away tonight. He had been having some health problems for a while, which almost no one was aware of. My friend Sam was able to be there with him today, which must have been a great comfort.
Don was always upbeat and kind. A lot of the time, I would see him and some friends playing pool at the Zone and would stop in to chat. He always made a point of being friendly and welcoming.
I feel bad that my friend Sam lost someone that he was so close to, but I am glad that they got to say goodbye. Sam says that my friend Jerry was there as well.
