Great Mika quote

I got a few songs from Mika's new CD, "Life in Cartoon Motion" and have been listening to them obsessively, "Lollipop" in particular. (And I normally don't go in much for pop music. His stuff is more addictive than crack!)

I got the new issue of the Advocate in today's mail. They have a section for quotes and et cetera. But amusingly enough, there is a picture of Mika with a quote from the Daily Mirror, a UK newspaper, from March 19.

people say, "You don't talk about sexuality because you're worried about success in the US." I say, "Have you heard the fucking album? There's a song about a married man who is a homosexual affair." There's no enigma.

The song he is talking about is Billy Brown, and it's catchy, in a sort of Beatles sort of way. And of course, it is on my iPod. :-)

I became addicted to Mika's Grace Kelly...and now I might have to buy the entire CD.

ahh! i thought of the beatles when i heard billy brown first too. i'm not quite sure what but i think it's penny lane that it reminds me of, and maybe a little bit magical mystery tour? idk. although the art is most definitely a la yellow submarine... that's okay; psychedelia was due for a revival anyways.
