I had a mildly productive day today. Quite a few years ago, I got out og gift giving for Christmas. Years ago, members of my family and I were sort of broke, and we kind of agreed that exchanging gifts wasn't necessary to have a good time. I'm uncomfortable with how all too often the holidays are about the spending Olympics, rather than the people you love. And, guilty confession here, I have never liked shopping. (Yes, that's minus five gay points for me. :-))
However, because of GLBT, pagan, family and friends, I do send out rather a large number of cards for the holidays. It's sort of a challenge, as I'm doing a fair number of cards for stuff related to newsletter, and then cards for personal contacts.
I got the cards last night, and printed out envelopes and signed about 270 cards this afternoon. I am having lunch with Deb and Mike tomorrow for our monthly newsletter get together, so I wanted to get it done to give them the cards to sign for the newsletter contacts. Right now, my inner obsessive compulsive task completion freak self is feeling good.
I also went up and celebrated the full moon with the coven I am active with. We had a very nice dinner, and I said the Wiccan grace, like usual. We were certain whether to do the ritual, but then we decided to go for it. It was very nice. We are also celebrating Yule in a few weeks, which will be nice as one of the coveners who moved away will be back in the area.
