GLBT history page updated

In what has become sort of an annual tradition for me, I went through about the past years worth of articles and etc. at Erie Gay News, and abstracted what seem to be appropriate entries for the history page. I started on the project several years ago, so now I just need to add stuff as it happens to keep it from being too much of a nightmare to maintain. I would love to get further back stuff, but that is pretty difficult.

It was sort of difficult doing the database design: I am trying to keep stuff in roughly chronological order. For most of the stuff since the early 90s, I usually have an exact date. In some cases I might just have an approximate month or approximate year. It's also tough in knowing what to include, as sometimes someone starts some thing and it never really goes anywhere.

I was talking with someone recently who wanted to do a leather event, the which sounds like it would be sort of a similar set up to be Drenched Fur event. I told him that although most folks tend to worry about groups or events succumbing to outside hostility, invariably it is gay folks dropping the ball that kills stuff. I have probably ranted and raved about this on far too many occasions. :-)
