As Emma mentioned in her blog, and as reported on CNN, a homeowners' association in Colorado has their knickers in a twist over one woman who put up a wreath that incorporated the peace symbol. The association seems to be, shall we say, working through some MAJOR control issues.
One of the things that struck me the most was the ignorant doofuses who were complaining that the peace symbol was a 'satanic symbol'. Are these morons totally living under a rock or what? The symbol has been around for decades. We are not talking about something obscure here. Heck, look at any movie or show about the 60's, and you are bound to see a peace symbol. But, when one is paranoid that everything outside of one's rather limited sphere of exposure is a dark and evil plot from Hell itself, I guess one is under a lot of stress.
And forgive a Pagan for pointing this out, but isn't Jesus Christ known as the Prince of Peace? But hey, what do I know?
