First example of Seurat Painting Photo

What a cool thing to do! A bunch of folks got together to make a living recreation of the famous Seurat paining.

Someone really needed to have a CD playing with selections from "Sunday in the Park with George"

And it seems oddly appropriate that a famous example of pointilism is represented by a digital photo recreation, which is also a mess of dots effectively.

Very cool! One of Tom's and my favorite shows. Guess I'll have to listen to the tape tomorrow.

I posted about that too on my blog. But you put it well with describing pointilism and digital photography's pixels.

What a fabulous idea, though to recreate such a famous piece of art

Ah! I was trying to remember where I saw the photo originally, so it must have been your web site. Much too cool!

Hmm, I wonder if there is another art work that we could recreate? Maybe choose from a few? (Sorry, but I am imagining a Mona Lisa drag queen competition, and how is that for a niche audience? Or we could involve the disabledcommunity with a Venus DeMilo pose off. Okay, I am going to Hell for that last one.
