Sigh. I must admit to never having watched an episode of American Idol ever. I have heard of the rumors of Clay Aiken being gay, but didn't think too much about it either way.
365gay.com has this story referring to an article in the National Enquirer with a former Army Ranger named John Paula who claims to have hooked up with Clay around Christmas and apparently kept the, um, uh, DNA laden washrag. For DNA testing. Or something.
It could be false, and I know that people will think it's too wild and crazy to be true, but remember when George Michael was outed for cruising a restroom? How many iterations of famous person denies being who they are, then gets outed under embarrassing circumstances. It is not unlike the same guys locally who won't go to a gay event or club, but go cruising at Presque isle or Scott Park (because they think it's less risky) and then arrested and get their names listed in the paper. Yeah, that was a really wise move. (Can you tell I am rolling my eyes here?)
Mom was always big on telling the truth meant that one got into less trouble then lying and being found out. Thanks, Mom! You are SO right!
