Wow! Neat articles in todays papers about student groups at area colleges! Tony Leger is trying to start a group at Gannon, which has historically been very conservative. I am not sure if he has been in touch with the rest of the community, but want to check with them to see what’s up. . . . → Read More: Student articles in today’s papers

I went out Thursday afternoon to see that flowers had bloomed. I felt oddly cheered. I wanted to capture the moment, so I took a photo. Hecate is definitely getting bigger! I had gotten her a collar and it was starting to look a tad too snug. So I just went out and got . . . → Read More: A semi productive few days

Happy to have the April issue of Erie Gay News folded and distributed (basically.) We had a great group of guys show up last night who chatted and folded. I was anticipating that with the insert (which had always been a pain in the few times in the past we had those), that it . . . → Read More: Folding and distributing, etc

It has sort of been a relatively quiet weekend. I got into task completion mode on Friday night and polished off the print edition of the April issue of Erie Gay News and sent it off. I did some more of the post prep work (print envelopes, distribution lists, export to HTML and etc.) . . . → Read More: Ostara, dancing and etc

Yesterday, I got an email about a speaker addressing a local mental health group who is openly gay and openly HIV positive. The name was the same as a long term friend (even down to the middle initial.) I knew my friend was gay and in the mental health field, but hadn’t been aware . . . → Read More: Figuring stuff out and name confusion

Some good news via email this AM: Rep: Birmelin, who had previously introduced 51 nasty antigay amendments to PA House Bill 345 (which was about adopting difficult to place children), has withdrawn all of them. So many people jumped on this that I feel really proud. I spent sometime the weekend before last passing . . . → Read More: Pride Picnic meeting, antigay amendments go bye bye

The Zone had their St. Patrick’s Day party this past Saturday, so I did my usual “dress up in something odd that I do NOT have have the body to carry off, but what the hell” thing. I told those who asked that I was going asas a green horn. I am realizing that . . . → Read More: St. Patrick’s at the Zone, quiet weekend

On Wednesday, I was feeling recovered enough from the fall down the stairs that I resumed doing a small amount of aerobics, which I have kept up. I also had not been wearing my contact lenses because I was worried that with diminished mobility with my right hand that I would end up blinding . . . → Read More: Returning functionality, marriage license call

My hand seems to be getting better, although the lower back still hurts. Ii.e. am currently sitting here with an ice pack on my tush, which looks decidedly unattractive. The doctor’s office called today and said that the x-rays showed no fractures or dislocation, so that’s a relief. Actually, I have never broken a . . . → Read More: X-Ray okay and potato lusting dog

A weird sort of day. The morning was taken up with meetings. Around 11 AM or so, I really felt like maybe I should have the injured hand looked at, so I made an appointment with the doctor. I got in pretty quickly. Since we have done computer support, he asked about some issues . . . → Read More: X-ray and phone call
