“God in Action” newspaper article, enough with the snow

The Erie Times News ran the installment today of the “God in Action” series in the Faith section of today’s paper. The article is here. (Scroll past the Baptist couple. Not sure how they feel about being followed by a gay Pagan and his dog!) It was cool to be included. Greg Wolford . . . → Read More: “God in Action” newspaper article, enough with the snow

Hecate and etc

The weather last night was not fun. I ended up having my car stuck in the driveway while leaving for the PFLAG meeting (finally able to free myself), and then it was stuck again in the driveway at the church when arriving at the meeting. Sigh! Fortunately, the other folks helped out and freed . . . → Read More: Hecate and etc

Hecate and etc

Hecate has been doing pretty well. My mom had gotten a fabric bone for Morgaine a few years ago that Morgaine curiously never seemed interested in. Hecate this morning pretty much killed it. As you can see, it was pretty much ripped to shreds. Well, it says “Bite Me” – so she did! . . . → Read More: Hecate and etc

Fun weekend and somewhat productive

Menspace on Saturday went really well! It was a nice turnout,. a few of the new guys who had called showed up. I had a fun time taking pictures. I went out dancing at the Zone later. They were having their Winter White Party, so I did my normal undressing up bit. Basically white . . . → Read More: Fun weekend and somewhat productive

A 3rd cousin says hello

Just got a neat email from a man named Bill. He is the great grandson of Amos Tellier, who was the baby brother to my direct maternal great grandmother, Emma Mary Tellier Dragoon. (I.e. Emma was my mother’s mother’s mother.) Emma was the last of her generation, having passed on in 1989. I met . . . → Read More: A 3rd cousin says hello

Minor geek stuff and a quiet Friday

Work went okay today. Minor crisis at the beginning when a program to parse out ACH (direct deposit for payroll department) used new codes that weren’t approved. A simple search and replace in Notepad fixed the file to send, and I modified the code so it should be easier to make the change when . . . → Read More: Minor geek stuff and a quiet Friday

Menspace in the news, some geek stuff

A relatively good week. Folding went fine on Tuesday. We had a total of 8 people, and everyone seemed to have a good time socializing. While we were hanging out, a few folks mentioned that WICU TV-12 had run the announcement about this Saturday’s Menspace with the other community announcements. I have actually gotten . . . → Read More: Menspace in the news, some geek stuff

Productive weekend

A fairly busy weekend. I caught Celebration at the Directors Circle Theatre on Friday. I knew several performers in the cast, and everyone did a great job, but the music left me curiously unmoved. Not a bad night, but just not the most hummable music. Saturday was a whirlwind of some housecleaning, coupled with . . . → Read More: Productive weekend

Mouse, dog, grandma and bingo

It was very very busy evening. I got out of work, and shoveled the driveway out from the bile left by the snowplow. I then discovered that Hecate had chewed the cord on the mouse, and it wasn’t working. Grr! My mother had also told me that my grandmother was at the hospital with . . . → Read More: Mouse, dog, grandma and bingo

A busy week

It was a relatively nice weekend. I saw Beautiful Thing at Rainbow Cinema, held at friends Pete and Tim’s home. Very uplifting movie and they had a great turnout. It was also James’ birthday, and Pete got a cake. I went out dancing at the Zone afterwards and had a pretty good time. Sunday . . . → Read More: A busy week
