Geek stuff and a quiet evening

I got my first piece of spam email comment at this blog, so I loaded the MT-Blacklist plugin for Movable Type. I had problems with other plugins and was expecting this to be a pain as well. No difficulties and off and running! And what is it with the recent spate of penis enlargement crap? It just seems sad to be that dependent on a physical characteristic.
I tried getting a few variations on a weather plugin to work. No dice, so I just went for the link to weather.com.
More playing with learning ASP at work. I had a really weird case of 1 client who was getting an error in a program, but only on 1 form and only on 1 PC. It was something like 429: Class not registered on this machine, but there were no controls or code that was any different from any forms that were loading successfully. I might suggest a rebuild of the PC.
I am probably obsessing over Morgaine’s health. She still has a rather distended abdomen and is bony everywhere else. I thought a few times throughout the day that her paws looked enlarged. Not sure if that is the case or if I am just being a whack job.
Still working on getting ahead for newsletter stuff. I placed a revised ad, and some more text. Ted came through with a very nice announcement about his engagement to Marc.
A lunkhead wrote in a letter to the Erie Daily Times opposing same-sex marriage, or more appropriately, equal marriage rights. Hmm, the Religious Right certainly tried to make a big deal out of “No Special Rights” when faced with legislation that protected ALL sexual orientations (including straight.) Funny how that principle gets forgotten when they are relegating others to second class citizens. I am going to work on a reply.
