26. We expect that the next print edition will come out on Thursday, August 26. We generally hit the streets around the 4th Thursday
of the month.
If
you are writing an article for Erie Gay News, please try to keep it to 500 words
or less; we generally try to have most articles be a page or less. (250 words is
a half page, which is also a good length.) We can
post longer articles to our web site.
If you
have anything happening in late August 2010
(or even later-we can always add items to the internal calendar for later
listing), please get it to us by Sunday,
August 26. Please always bear in mind the "6 week" rule; if you are
having a special event that you want to let folks know about, you need to get us
the details (even preliminary/tentative is okay) 6 weeks before the event takes

editorial schedule through the end of 2010. (We should shortly be adding the

All prepaid display ads receive a 10% discount. Ad
copy should be submitted by about the 15th of the month before the ad runs. This
can sometimes be a few days earlier, depending on how the month falls. For a

Full page ad ( 7 1/2" tall by 6" wide) $160 or $144

All prices are per issue. Our circulation is about
3000. We first began publishing in January of 1993.
We can use high contrast B&W camera ready art or
lay out an ad. We have a graphic designer on staff with over 30 years worth of
experience.
We layout in
Adobe InDesign CS3 under Windows Vista. We can take any file format that it
accepts. We have had the best results with PDF or files. Please contact us for
info about formats. The print edition is in black and white, but we do publish a
color version online as a PDF.
We also offer text only classified ads at $10 for
each 30 words, and $5 for every additional 15 words. Classified ads must be
prepaid and do not qualify for a discount.
In addition to print edition ads, we also offer web
site banner ads. Our domain gets about 12,000 unique visitors per month, 30,000
visitors and 550,000 hits.
Checks should be made payable to "EGC Coalition" and
mailed to 1115 W 7th St, Erie PA.
Online Contest

Do you have a promotional item that you would like to
use to publicize your business or group? Erie Gay News has an online
contest entry program that can help you get the word out!
For every three months of paid advertising, (for
either a print edition ad of whatever size, or a banner ad on our web site), you
are eligible for an online contest for an item or group of items of your
choosing. (You can give away one or however many you want of a prize/prize
package.)
Here's what you get:
- Setup and maintenance of the text/links for a
contest page at www.eriegaynews.com.
- Email blast to our Erie GLBT News/Event email list
announcing the contest. Currently, there are about 890 addresses on the list.
- Link to your contest page from the home page at
http://www.eriegaynews.com. The
Erie Gay News domain gets about 12,000-13,000 unique visitors a month, about
30,000 visits and 500,000 to 600,000 hits.
- Include you business' logo, with a link to your
web site.
- A list of winners is emailed to you. We will also
email winners of the contest.
You will be responsible for the prize fulfillment.
[i.e. we aren't shipping items to winners.] However, if your prize is to be
